SEND Support Services can offer a structured advisory and supervision service to Sensory Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals, designed to enhance practice, build confidence, and support complex casework.
This may include regular consultation sessions where therapists can discuss individual cases, reflect on clinical reasoning, and explore evidence-based sensory strategies tailored to children and young people with diverse needs.
The service can also provide professional supervision, creating a reflective space to review interventions, monitor outcomes, and ensure alignment with current SEND frameworks and best practice guidelines.
In addition, SEND Support Services can deliver targeted advice on assessment tools and reports, environmental adaptations, and collaborative working with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams. This combined advisory and supervisory approach not only strengthens clinical decision-making but also promotes continuous professional development and consistency in high-quality sensory support provision.
